1.19 That familiar face
A dark cloud covers my head,
Terrifying mists toil within,
I am sinking, sinking in my own despair,
No light for me, no end to the tunnel.
Wait! See that there?
I could have sworn that in the dark I saw there a familiar face,
It is a face I know well, a true face.
Now through the darkness, I strive to find this familiar face.
There! I caught myself a glimpse of that all too familiar face,
Through the thickness of the cloud and mists, there it shines,
Bright and radiant, there it is,
Casting unto me its earthly warmth.
A reassuring calmness washes over me,
I feel warm and at peace.
The clouds around me and the mists inside of me begin to lift,
For I am once again with that friendly, familiar face.
