1.31 Forbidden love
Do you not know how I love you so?
I am in awe of your beauty,
Gazing longingly at something that society denies.
You cannot possibly know of this hidden passion,
Lust burning deep from within my heart;
My very soul cries out your name at a mere glimpse of you.
I look upon something I may never have,
My confidence dissolves and shyness consuming me,
All I want to do is to reach out and ask you,
A desire to share with you a kiss.
Do I not make my love clear?
I do try my hardest to show you in small ways.
Can you not read the signs I so earnestly try to convey?
What must I do for you to notice my desires?
Though I still sit and wonder to myself:
If you so happened to know, would you still like me?
For I would still be the same person, only my secret revealed.
Oh why in our modern society must there be forbidden love?
