2.6 Coming out of the dark

Darkness so scary consumes me and every aspect of my life,
Fear of the known and the unknown haunt me and cause me strife.
Continually I seek a way out of the dark and away from pain,
I need to escape this horrid place eternally coveted by rain.
Desperately needing to become whole again and re-find hope in my life.

We discussed at length a happy, alternative future that could be,
Both of us requiring an inner strength and fight so that this we can see.
There is a place that we can find together that will be happy and free from hurt,
We must find the courage in ourselves not to let this pass, even if we have to trawl the dirt.
Together we can get a future to ourselves, no one else, just you and me.

Indeed we have developed, but we must continue to do this as we learn and grow,
There is a great journey that requires love and support that we both know how to show.
I do not want to let this moment pass and to let you go,
My heart is not strong enough, so here I stand before you with changes that I hope your mind will blow.
Share my love and happiness, give us a chance and for God's sake, don't say no!
