3.1 Happy jubilee
How exciting for the nation to come together to celebrate this rare and historical day!
In a world so wonderful and accepting to simply cheer for an old lady, withered and grey.
God save not this Royal Queen, but instead old Mrs Bennett from down at number two,
Proud, old Mrs Bennett who sacrificed so much, went without food to cater for me and you.
Yet this kind soul, by not being a ‘Royal’ struggles to survive and keep the wolves at bay.
Happy jubilee. Time to celebrate an outdated and quite frankly, redundant antiquity.
Children excitedly told by their parents that they can be anything that they want to be,
But dream not to be a Prince or a Head of State in this land, that is not a role for you or for me.
Being born is a natural thing for all creatures to experience and should not luck of a draw,
Breathing air does not create a qualification to lead and act as a global figurehead and nothing more.
What honestly makes her more special than you or I? There is not anything that I can see.
Happy jubilee. Time to celebrate an outdated and quite frankly, redundant antiquity.
The decision to have this role of alleged servitude may not have been chosen by the Queen,
But to choose to live in luxury whilst her subjects toy between the option to heat or eat is quite mean.
When those who have served a life of charity freeze and die, too poor to keep warm when cold,
Surely they not only deserve but have the right to be happy and enjoy their time as they grow old.
High up in a castle, palace or estate, Mrs Queen cares not about them or the lives that could have been.
Happy jubilee. Time to celebrate an outdated and quite frankly, redundant antiquity.
Happy jubilee, it is time to say goodbye and retire the tired old Crown, so please may this be our last?
Maybe leave these medieval bloodline traditions condemned to where they belong, deep in the past.
Witch hunting, bear baiting, gay bashing we all have consigned to a bygone era and deemed inappropriate,
Yet we are happy to cling to a monarchy and with this instead are proud of, something quite unfortunate.
Time to say goodbye to the monarchy, let rise to the republic, let a new modern era form and be cast.
Happy jubilee. Time to celebrate an outdated and quite frankly, redundant antiquity.
