3.7 I need not say it
It is quite amusing how life is governed by silly notions and little rules we follow,
From the obligatory “how are you?” with the “fine thanks” response that is hollow.
These little rules creep deeper than we care to admit into our very way of thinking,
But can we find a way to overcome and become ourselves again without sinking?
Time will be the real teller of truths and ultimately it is actions we must follow.
Words are fabulous. Words are great. Words carry power and responsibility.
Let words not speak for me. Instead, let my actions speak louder than words.
My heart soars every time we are near and there is nothing for you that I would not do,
I would jump through literal rings of fire for you. My love for you is deep and true.
But I do not feel the need to verbalise it around the clock, nor do I need to justify it,
Repeated verbalisation of love makes it just a habit, a new cliché, more social bullshit.
My love is no less true simply because I do not hark on those three words, “I love you.”
Words are fabulous. Words are great. Words carry power and responsibility.
Let words not speak for me. Instead, let my actions speak louder than words.
I love you, that I do, we both know and feel it. We know its presence is very real and true,
You know my heart, I am not so insecure that I feel the perpetual need to continually remind you.
Instead, we live our life by our actions, allow them to speak louder than any word and is there to see,
There is simply nothing I can say to make them more meaningful, I can simply and only be me.
But if you really need to know. Do not get used to me saying it. But I do very much love you.
